How much caffeine is in coffee ice cream? How much caffeine is in coffee ice cream? Compared to a cup of coffee? Does it vary by brand of ice cream? Specifically, how much caffeine is in Hagen Das coffee ice cream?

BadGirlGimpy replied: "Not much I'm sure. Don't worry about it. You can get coffee flavor from Decaf Coffee so that should tell you something. Check the ingredients label."

amberharris20022000 replied: "not alot"

ilbig_top replied: "it as the same as a cup of coffee.....ice cream as ~NO~ caffeine in it.....OK kewl dude later"

Is coffee ice cream bad to eat during pregnancy? I know caffeine is not good, but I'm wondering if coffee ice cream has a lot of caffeine, and if it is harmful. Thanks for the help!

Hippie replied: "You should be fine eating that. It's all about quantity. If you drink 5 cups of coffee.. or eat gallons of coffee ice cream a day, i wouldn't recommend that... ask your doctor what amount of caffeine is safe to take"

Michelle S replied: "Okay.. too much caffeine is bad, not just some caffeine!!! I had 2 cups of coffee througout my entire pregnancy with my twins and they were perfect. I asked my doctor and he said to keep it at 2 cups/day. Honestly a cup or two of coffee is not going to hurt your baby AT ALL!!! and I breastfeed and it has no impact on my boys and I have 2 double shot latte's every day. Enjoy coffee if you want it in moderation!"

atlashrugged replied: "There is a "de-caffinated" version of coffee icecream."

littleJaina replied: "My understanding is tht caffeine is not harmful to the baby itself (at least in quantities that normal people consume), but that it can increase vaginal contractions. If you're really early in your pregnancy, and worried about miscarrying, I'd stay away from ALL caffeine, but later on a little bit is fine."

Silva replied: "That would be fine. Just as one caffeine drink a day would be ok. Don't fall for the decaffeinated crap - it has more chemicals in it to make it decaffeinated that are carcinogenic and much much worse than a bit of coffee!"

babynumber2ontheway replied: "dont eat too much of it. its ok to have some every once in a while"

Dragonchilde replied: "Nope, it's just fine. Caffeine is approved for use in pregnant women, but doctors recommend that you minimize your intake to less than 300 mg per day. That's a LOT of coffee. A cup of coffee or two is not going to hurt anything, and a bowl of ice cream is just fine. As with anything in pregnancy, moderation is key."

Bridget M replied: "I was wondering the same thing and found the following: "most researchers now believe that, although caffeine does cross the placenta, moderate amounts (less than 300 milligrams a day) won't harm your baby" You can find a list of how much caffeine (approx) are in many items from chocolate to coffee to tea to ice cream at baby center.com. 1Cup of coffee ice cream usually has only 8-80mg! Since I gave up coffee, I've been craving just a nibble of coffee ice cream."

Anyone got a coffee ice cream recipe using Camp Coffee? If so, how much coffee do you put per 100 ml of ice cream mixture? PS If you don't know the brand Camp Coffee, I don't think you'll be able to help. I know how to make coffee ice-cream but I want to make it with Camp Coffee! Hi Cister - an American tablespoon or a British one? Apparently they're different. Though if I put in a good dollop, that will probably be about right.

Cister replied: "5 tbsps of coffee essence to 500 ml of the basic ice cream custard mix before churning. In your case, 1 tbsp."

thierrysmum replied: "sorry cant help you but i used to love camp coffee"

Recipe for Coffee Ice Cream Cake or just Coffee Cake? for my mom's birthday she wants a cake like one she had that her friend bought. A coffee ice cream cake. I called around and no one makes that. So, if I want to make one myself, what's the best way? Any recipes would be appreciated. Do you think I should do the cake like a coffee cake with actual coffee in it or just do coffee cake as in the basic cinnammon white cake type thing that you have with coffee? And then should the ice cream be coffee ice cream or just french vanilla or something? Suggestions and recipes welcomed. Thanks! Oh, and is the best method for layering the icecream between the cake to just mix the ice cream until spreadable, or to cut it with floss as I've read in some recipes?

Steve G replied: "Make Ice Cream and put it into a cake pan to freeze. Make a chocolate cake and place the IceCream between the two layers, frost with vanilla icing, not butter cream. At a coffee house you can purchase chocolate covered coffee beans, decorate the cake with them. Yes you can freeze the cake, that's why you didn't use buttercream frosting. Coffee Ice Cream Ingredients: 3 cups light cream 1 3/4 cups sugar 3 eggs, beaten 1/2 tsp salt 1 1/2 tsp vanilla 3/4 cup coffee, chilled 1 cup whipping cream Prep: Scald the light cream and add sugar. Stir until dissolved. In the top of a double boiler, add cream to beaten eggs and mix thoroughly. Cook until thickened. Remove from heat and chill. Add coffee, whipping cream and salt. Use this coffee mixture in your ice cream maker, and add vanilla when almost frozen."

What would happen if i eat Coffee Ice cream for dinner? im on a diet and everything my parents have is meat, meat, fat, fat. all i have is coffee haggen daz ice cream. is that fattening? (im trying 2 loose the tummy)

LOL replied: "That sounds soooo good. But ya its fattening. Go for something like veges or salads or fruit. Tell ur parents u want to eat healthier or have a salad instead of meat, meat, meat. Communication is everything!!! Good Luck!!"

sidekick replied: "yes."

Eric replied: "ice cream is not good, you need to eat fit, not eating meat wont help you lose weight as you want to mantain a healthy diet... alot of times these so called "diets" like atkins and that crap are just plain stupid... you wanna lose weight? eat smaller portions, drink only water, and do some cardio with some ab workouts.... lean meat, veggies and fruit, and you need carbs for energy... also healthy sleep cycle is also important"

wiseowl_00 replied: "To start eating ice cream for dinner would be starting down the path of diabetes and other diet based health problems. Coffee ice cream would ensure that you don't get a good night sleep, waking up tired and lethargic. Iceream is loaded with sugar, which is much more fattening than fat to eat."

jenny b replied: "Brain freeze and try salad."
